Drinks Reception ~ Business Networking ~ Speaker
A wide range of local businesses joined us at Willow Farm for our first networking event.
MEP for the South West & Gibraltar
We were delighted that Julie Girling was able to join us straight from her flight from Gibraltar, part of the region she represents in the European Parliament. The theme of the presentation was, "How will Brexit impact on our business," As many of the questions surrounding this have yet to be discussed fully by our government, Julie gave an interesting talk about what is happening in Brussels and how Brexit is affecting trade. It was a lively and interesting presentation with strong questions from Brexiters and Remainers alike. The audience was captivated by the somewhat heated debate and it is clear that the discussions surrounding Brexit and its effects will run and run.
Those attending the event commented that they had made useful business contacts and enjoyed the smart and cosy marquee venue at Willow Farm.
